Speaking to a Plat4om correspondent at the event, Swiss Ajiboye, Head of Mercury Business Unit at TD Africa, affirms the organization’s goal to advance power solutions in Nigeria. According to him, TD Africa has the capacity, and with the right push from the OEM, there is still so much ground that can be covered.

“Power is a much-needed infrastructure in this part of the world, that much is clear. And for us at TD Africa, the ultimate goal is to drive technological advancement across West Africa through multiple vehicles. Beyond business, we believe this is one area of solution that will set African society at a global pace.

Our partnership with the Mercury brand is one way to empower a large mass of people through alternative power sources. Hopefully, today’s meeting will take us deeper into that path,” he said.

Responding to addresses from the host company, Mr. Sajid Shaikh,  President of the Mercury global brand commended TD Africa on their passion for seeing Africa at the center of global tech moves. He also shared his optimism regarding future transactions between the two companies, as well as a commitment to buttress TD Africa’s sales effort with after-sales support.

“Äfter support is the anchor of Mercury’s business – no one does it like us. And this is where we intend to come in as far as our partnership with TD Africa is concerned. You can be assured that we have your back – with more than sufficient infrastructure to cater to a market as big as we have with you,” he affirmed.

Breaking New Grounds

Also, present was Mr. Shahnawaz Khan, Country Manager of Kobian Nigeria, who expressed hopes of taking the Mercury product lines further into the market this year.

“This year, we have big plans for marketing our products. We plan to contact corporate institutions with training programs and other activities. The covid-19 pandemic delayed things before now, but the time has come to engage our channels in propagating power solutions for Nigeria,” he explained.
