Dell Vice President Explores Strategic Growth Opportunities with TD Africa
Lagos, Nigeria – March 26, 2024: Habib Mahakian, Vice President and General Manager Emerging Africa at Dell, visited the headquarters of TD Africa, a leading technology distributor, on Tuesday. The meeting, held at the TD Africa head office located at Yudala Heights, Victoria Island, Lagos, aimed to chart strategic paths for market expansion and vertical penetration of Dell’s business in Nigeria and West Africa.

Mahakian outlined ambitious plans to grow Dell’s business to $1 billion, emphasizing the importance of streamlining partnerships, expanding reach, and addressing customer needs. “To achieve this goal, we need to develop the right partnerships, expand our presence in regions I cannot personally reach, and prioritize customer satisfaction,” he remarked.
Chioma Ekeh, CEO of TD Africa, underscored the significance of connecting with the African market beyond mere business transactions. She emphasized the need for Dell to demonstrate tangible contributions to the continent’s development. “Beyond sales, Dell must engage with Africa in ways that resonate with its people,” she stated.
Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of the Zinox Group, stressed the importance of commitment from Dell to overcome challenges and find solutions for business growth in Africa. The meeting explored various strategies, particularly emphasizing Dell’s engagement with the public sector to foster a deeper connection with the African market.
Mahakian revealed that Dell is developing models to better support partners and drive business growth. He expressed appreciation for TD Africa’s partnership and commitment to Dell’s vision for Africa.
