The event took place on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, at the prestigious Yudala Height building, located at 13 Idowu Martins, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event commenced promptly at 11 a.m. with an impressive turnout of over 50 registered partners eagerly seated at the venue. Damian Anurukem, the Compere for the day, welcomed the esteemed guests and extended gratitude to both the Cisco and TD Africa teams for their collaboration. He set the tone for an insightful and engaging session.

Abiodun Idowu, Assistant General Manager at TD Africa, took the stage to deliver the opening remarks, emphasizing TD Africa’s commitment to providing unparalleled access to cutting-edge technology across West Africa. He underscored the mission of TD Africa to make innovative products and services accessible to all businesses, reaffirming the company’s dedication to empowering enterprises in the region.

Sanusi Sultan, the Cybersecurity Sales Specialist, then proceeded to delve into Cisco’s network security solutions, starting with the Cisco Secure Firewall. Sultan highlighted the robust capabilities of the firewall, including its threat defense of 7.0 and significant throughput gains across various key metrics. He emphasized the importance of integrating security controls across multi-cloud environments to enhance overall security posture.

Sultan also showcased Cisco SecureX as a powerful force-multiplier for firewalls, enabling seamless integration with existing infrastructure and streamlining incident response workflows. He underscored the importance of network, virtual cloud, and application security in today’s threat landscape, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive security strategy.

 

Furthermore, Sultan shed light on Cisco Talos, a threat intelligence group renowned for its role in safeguarding users from malicious actors. He highlighted Cisco’s leadership position in the enterprise firewall market, citing the company’s top rankings in the 2020 Forrester Wave report.

The presentation concluded with a lively Q&A session, during which Sultan addressed queries from the audience and reiterated the importance of investing in Cisco’s security solutions for enhanced business resilience.
